CAAWS PRIDE House Movie Night

On February 23rd join Olympic Gold Medalist, Mark Tewksbury and experience intense, fast paced action in Training Rules, uncovering how the lives of many young female athletes are destroyed by the intensely homophobic climate in US female college basketball, and in sport at large. But first, discover the blatant sexism inherent within the European woman’s professional boxing circuit, through the story of Michele Aboro, an out-lesbian championship boxer who’s male promoters deem as ‘un-promotable’ in A Knock Out. Both films and the panel to follow is presented by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Woman in Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS).

Tickets are $10, limited $5 tickets for Underemployed at Little Sisters Book Store.

Doors open at 6:30 and there will be a Q & A and post reception. Bar Service will be available.
